Provide a dynamic and integrated educational experience that fosters student learning and success at North Central College and beyond
Strategy  A: using new college-wide learning outcomes, redesign the college's curriculum leveraging a semester calendar and new general education core, to deepen and strengthen academic quality
Strategy B: build a pathway for all students to experience High-Impact Practices (HIPs) each year of their study by intentionally embedding them into the curriculum.

General Education Learning Outcomes Approved by APPC June 2017
Include new HIPs, among them:
Community-engaged learning
Analysis of Power Structures
Culminating Project

Resizing Current Curricular Model and Mapping it to New Gen Ed Outcomes
Current Gen Ed Requirement on Terms   48.5 ch (16 3-ch courses)
Current Gen Ed Requirement onSemesters  64.5 ch (16 4 ch courses)
Resized to meet our goal of Gen Ed compromising about 1/2 of total ch  40-44 (10-11 4-ch courses)
