Sara influenced the academic careers of several generals of
students with her challenging courses in Shakespeare, English literature, 16th
and 17th century literature, composition and gender studies. A
renaissance scholar and member of Shakespeare Association of America, eaton
brought high expectations to her classroom and advised dozens of research
projects and college scholar honors theses. She was a pioneer in gender
studies, embracing a feminist perspective of literature as an emerging
