Reviewing and revising your writing is an important step in
learning to write well in any language. Carefully review each sentence of your
composition above, make revisions, and add depth and content in your second
submission. Revisions will be collected at the beginning of the class period on
the day of the chapter exam. ADD 10 sentences! Write a minimum of 20 sentences

You will have a (mimic of a) conversation with your Professor, as part of the evaluation of your performance in this class. Please sign for an allocated time for your interview
It is important that you respond in complete sentences (using a subject and a verb, at a minimum). The conversation questions will be randomly selected at the time of the interview, and may vary slightly from the sample questions.
Tips to prepare for the Conversation final

Read chinese out loud. This will give you confidence in your pronunciation
Practice "thinking out loud" in Chinese as often a you can.
Find a conversation partner to mimic simple conversations in Chinese. tutors can help
Write about your home town or a favorite town. Don't elaborate on the restaurant, you have written about that before, but dwell on the attractions and the things tourists can do there.
Write a bout a trip that you have taken. Describe it in length, including the means o the transportation.
Be prepared to write a description of everything you are wearing (including colors or other adjectives) in class, either in groups or in class. Make sure you vary your cases a bit like in the example we had today ..

Comositions are your opportunity to express your ideas in Chinese and your instructor's opportunity to check your progress. Please note the dates of the in-class writing assignments carefully in your syllabus and prepare in advance. You want to treat the in-class composition as more than a draft. Prepare carefully and submit your best work possible.You will write a minimum of 10 sentences in class on the days listed in your itinerary. You may use your text book for vocabulary and guidance in your preparation, but you will write without notes during the in-class writing activity. Do't realy on "online translators"during your preparation. The "composition in class" themes and expectiations are similar to the writing portion of your written chapter exam, so preparing well for this activity will not only help you to be a better writer in Chinese but it will also help you prepare for the writing section on your exams.

You may use your textbook when revising your composition. You will handwrite your revisions on the form provided, on the back side of your In-Class Composition. Revisions will be submitted on the day of the chapter exam (or otherwise listed in your syllabus). Late revisions will not be accepted.
