Four things i wish i had known when I started in adademic support

• It's not about what instructors say, it's about what students hear
• the amount of learning is often inversely proportional to the clarity of the instructor's explanation of the topic
• how to teach students how to read, how to listen, how to write and how to learn
• there are not smart students and students who ar not smart, there are students how have and use strategies and those who don't
