Be
advised that we've received our first media inquiry regarding Shimer
College. In response, the following brief statement was given to the
Chicago Tribune reporter:"North
Central College and Shimer College are early in the process of studying
a potential strategic relationship. These conversations are preliminary
so we do not have any specifics to share at this time. We intend to
hold these conversations through the Spring and will know more after we
have collaboratively explored our options."
It's
not uncommon for a reporter to directly contact one or more members of
the campus community. With respect to the sensitive and confidential
nature of the ongoing discussions on our campus, I encourage everyone to
refrain from any public comments and instead direct all media inquiries
