  • thisweek has been a little tough. Trying to memorize all of the hanzi and getting all of the vocabulary in my mind has been a bit of a hasse but Im still enjoying the clss and learning now to pronunce the words and writing the hanzi
  • The packet was a great help with writing and reading chinese because it was a lot of repeating hte sme characters making it easier to pick up on what I was learning over ther course of the week. I'm still enjoying the language and hopefully it doesnt get too overwhelming over the course of the term
  • 给老师第一周一个好印象:my most interesting take on the first day was learning the 4 tones! Chinese tone annunication; english expression relation: ah, what? well..go!

Reflection:
Spring term is here, and with the new season, my motivation to study chinese is in full swing. Last term I was not studying the necessary amount to actually get further ahead, so this term I am dedicateing two hours everyday for my Chinese studies. One hour in the morning before class, and one hour in the afternoon, prefer right after class. So far I have been able to manage to study for the hour after class, but mornings are still a big challenge. However, since the weather is getting nicer, I am now feeling more motivated to get up eraly and dedicate more time for my studies. My an for the rest of the term also includes attending Chinese corner on both Monday and Thursdays, which will also cout as my hour after class for my studies.
Outside of class:

Over SB I watche a couple of Chinese films on Netflix. One was a romantic comedy and the other an action fild. I watched them with subtitles the first time, but I wtvhed them both twice. The second time as with Chinese subtitles. I did recognize a few characters, but still I cou;dnt read them fast eough to understand completely.;.
