It was good to see you also. Unfortunately, I will be away for 2
weeks in July and back on campus in August. Perhaps we could meet later
in the summer? I'd be happy to talk to you further about CHI 105.
I placed this in your mailslot today. Do you have the stipend forms for Rivera & Muck with their signatures or did you pass that along to the Dean already?

I think 40 bags will be hard for me
to swing. Will you have money left over from the program fees that you
have been collecting to pay for bags and folders?
Thanks for the offer. However, I live in Oak Park, so I'll just drive myself unless there is another Oak Parker among you.

am saddened to inform our campus community that on Thursday, July 24, the mother of Joan Long, Administrative Assistant to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Executive Director of Development and Alumni Affairs, passed away. Vera Abbott will be remembered with a visitation on Monday, July 28, 5:00-7:00 PM, and a funeral at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 29, at Wood Funeral Home, (www.woodfh.net) 900 W. Wilson St., Rushville, IL. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Macomb.
What I enjoyed most about yesterday was watching
you and together. Reading to was a real treasure, I was
spellbound watching the two of you. Then the sheer joy on 's face
when you were playing at the swings was something to behold.
"Arthur" is a
very popular TV series for kids. It has been around for several years.
So sorry to hear that! I hope it starts to feel
better soon! Do you want to push the meeting until next week to give
yourself a little more time? If you need to talk to him this week, I will
check with him on his availability on Thursday afternoon -- he is working on
several projects this week so was trying to get all of his appointments done
today and tomorrow, but once I know your availability for Thursday
afternoon, we can try to find a time.
(I broke my big toe over the weekend, and I"m trying to
stay off of it as much as possible for a few days. Is there any chance of
meeting later in the week?)

I am
also going on Monday. I will be driving from the general campus area (I
live near WVHS, but campus is on the way -- if you live on the
route in, I can also pick you up). I plan to drive and am happy to take
anyone else who would like to go. My guess is that we will need to leave
around 7:30 am to arrive in plenty of time to register. Let me know if
you would like to come so that I don't leave without you!
I am going next Monday. Anyone driving from
campus or the general area? Happy to buy the gas!
We can meet at the Center for Teaching and
Learning - 322 East Van Buren - Green house at the edge of the new walkway.
btw the big photo of you and
Aaron over the mantel is spectacular. It took my breath away

If you can't be home when Ikea delivers the
furniture, let me know and I will fill in for you.

Joan
is a rock for her family, including her extended Institutional
Advancement family, with her genuine care, compassion and willingness to
support those around her. In this time of grief, Rick Spencer and I ask
that you join us in extending deepest sympathy to show our support for
Joan as well as the Long and Abbott families.
