The announcements of the college's...are kept secret until... every year by tradition. This builds up anticipation and surprise for the naming of the recipients for the NC's highest recognition for graduating seniors, as was the case for...
"There are so many students that deserved it more than I did. I'm grateful and flattered. It's nice to know people thing so highly of me, especially people I think so highly of."
"When you select leadership, the attributes that are foremost in making a selection are organization, leading by example, and providing encouragement and supports,"
"She is undeniably smart...the level of coursework exceeded most if not all of her classmates, but what makes she stand out from a typical bright student is her attitude and how she brings out the best in others."
"She is a leader, so full of life and helpful to others."
"In about two weeks, Caron will graduate from NC, but not without leaving a legacy through her leadership." "One of the ways you measure leadership is by what you leave behind, and Mary has left a big imprint."

Advice for NCC's future
With a few weeks left until graduation, seniors can look back fondly at the highs and lows of their undergraduate college portion of their lives.
ITS--Fast-forward four years and the same problems still occur.
Springfest-Every year it's the same old boring stuff.
Use more outside catering--Want students to go to your event? Offer free food that isn't Chartwells!
More multi-department courses-
It's easy to become entrenched within one's major. By providing students with academic views outside of their discipline, their focus could be broadened.
More guidance earlier--It's fair to call NC's career Development Center a useful and helpful resource, but I'm not alone when I say I wish I had known sooner. This sentiment goes to many things but particularly the importance of internships. By this, I do not mean just one. An internship is a valuable learning experience but learning is a lifelong continual process...A remedy to this, perhaps, could be a booth for the Career Development Center at the beginning of the year career fair. If students are guided and encouraged to intern and become involved earlier in their college experience, the ramifications are only positive.
Better integration of all blubs/organizations...CUAB
