vaccination

1. While many childhood diseases have been nearly eliminated by vaccinations, pertussis is still a major problem. (pertussis 百日咳) ~ is a contagious disease that creates sticky, thick mucus in the airways.


2.tetanus破伤风[ˈtetənəs] Its bacteria are widely present in soil and people can get infected through a puncture wound (eg. a ruty nail), skin laceration, piercing, and even tattooing.http://dict.cn/nimgs/2010/cleardot.gif


3.diphtheria 白喉 [dɪfˈθɪəri:ə, dɪp-] ~ may start out as a sore throat, fever, and chills, but as the disease progresses toxins can cause serious complications such as hart failure or paralysis.
